Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
MAP1LC3C (also known as LC3C) belongs to the MAP1 LC3 family and is the human homolog of yeast Atg8. It plays a role in the formation of autophagosomal vacuoles (autophagosomes). LC3C is generated by proteolytic cleavage after the conserved C-terminal Gly residue. This antibody is specific to the prepeptide of LC3C.
