This product can be used in Sandwich ELISA to detect APOE using MA5-50301 as a capture antibody and PA5-27088 as the detection antibody.
Target Information
Apolipoprotein E (Apo E) plays a critical role in lipid metabolism and is a constituent of various plasma lipoprotein-lipid particles. It is synthesized in the liver, brain, spleen, and kidney, with high concentrations in interstitial fluids. Apo E facilitates cholesterol transport from cells with excess cholesterol to those requiring it and contributes to the formation of very low-density lipoproteins (VLDL) and chylomicrons. The Apo E gene is located on chromosome 19 at position 19q13.2.
