This antibody can be used in Sandwich ELISA to detect Galectin 3 using MA5-50299 as the capture antibody and PA5-34819 as the detection antibody.
Target Information
Galectin 3 is a galactose-specific lectin that binds IgE. It may mediate, through alpha-3 and beta-1 integrin, the CSPG4-induced migration of endothelial cells. Together with DMBT1, it is required for terminal differentiation of columnar epithelial cells during early embryogenesis. In the nucleus, it functions as a pre-mRNA splicing factor. It is involved in acute inflammatory responses including neutrophil activation and adhesion, monocyte/macrophage chemoattraction, opsonization of apoptotic neutrophils, and activation of mast cells.
