Product Specific Information

The 61D3 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD14, a 53–55 kDa GPI-linked glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and some dendritic cells. CD14 binds LPS-LBP complexes with high affinity.

• Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
• Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells
• Recommended Use: 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)

Fluorochrome Information:
PE-eFluor® 610 is excitable by 488–561 nm lasers and emits at 607 nm. Recommended detection filter: 610/20 band pass (PE-Texas Red® equivalent).

Light Sensitivity: Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.
Fixation: Samples can be stored up to 3 days in the dark at 4°C using:

Target Information

CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It functions as a receptor for lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in complex with LBP, and exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms. Soluble CD14 (sCD14) plays a role in neutralizing LPS and modulating immune responses, including apoptotic cell binding and inflammatory regulation.
Dysfunction of CD14 is associated with conditions such as Mycobacterium chelonae infection and croup.
