• Preparation:
  Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human TGF-beta3. Anti-Human TGF-beta3-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

• Western Blot:
  To detect Human TGF-beta3 by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL.
  When used with compatible development reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human TGF-beta3 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Transforming growth factor beta 3 (TGF-beta3) is the third member of the transforming growth factor family of cytokines, which also includes TGF-beta1 and TGF-beta2. These cytokines are secreted as precursors consisting of a bioactive C-terminal domain attached to an N-terminal latency-associated protein (LAP). Cleavage of LAP yields the mature disulfide-linked homodimeric protein.

TGF-beta3 is highly conserved across species, with mouse and human TGF-beta3 showing 100% sequence homology and cross-species activity. Members of this family are expressed by most cell types and have pleiotropic effects, including suppression of B- and T-cell effector activity, mediation of tissue healing, and inhibition of tumor proliferation. They also promote CD4+CD25+ T-cell expansion, indicating a role in protection against autoimmunity.
