Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of MEK2 only when phosphorylated at Threonine 394.
Target Information
MAP2K2 (MEK2) is a dual specificity serine/threonine kinase that plays a critical role in mitogen growth factor signal transduction. MEK2 (MAPKK2) activates ERK1/2 and MAPK enzymes by phosphorylating residues within the threonine/glutamate/tyrosine (TEY) motif in the activation loop.
MEK1 and MEK2 are activated by dual phosphorylation on serine 218 and 222. Threonine 292 of MEK1 is phosphorylated by ERK2, forming a negative feedback loop that suppresses MEK1 activation.
