Granulin-4 promotes proliferation of epithelial cell line A431, while Granulin-3 acts as an antagonist. Granulins may play roles in inflammation, wound repair, and tissue remodeling. Disulfide-bridged structure; belongs to the granulin family. Expressed in myelogenous leukemic cell lines, fibroblasts, epithelial cells, inflammatory cells, bone marrow, and kidney.
