Product Specific Information
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
MCM7 encodes a highly conserved mini-chromosome maintenance protein essential for the initiation of eukaryotic genome replication. The MCM proteins form a hexameric complex that is a key component of the pre-replication complex (pre_RC) and play roles in replication fork formation and recruitment of DNA replication-related proteins.
The complex consisting of MCM7 with MCM2, MCM4, and MCM6 possesses DNA helicase activity and may act as a DNA unwinding enzyme. Cyclin D1-dependent kinase, CDK4, associates with MCM7 and may regulate its interaction with the tumor suppressor protein RB1/RB. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
