• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

Target Information

MCM7 encodes a protein that is one of the highly conserved mini-chromosome maintenance proteins (MCM) essential for the initiation of eukaryotic genome replication. The hexameric MCM complex is a key component of the pre-replication complex (pre_RC), involved in replication fork formation and recruitment of DNA replication proteins.
The complex (including MCM2, 4, 6, and 7) possesses DNA helicase activity and functions as a DNA unwinding enzyme. Cyclin D1-dependent kinase CDK4 associates with MCM7 and may regulate its interaction with tumor suppressor protein RB1/RB. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
