Product Specific Information

For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

MCM7 encodes a protein that is one of the highly conserved mini-chromosome maintenance (MCM) proteins essential for the initiation of eukaryotic genome replication. The hexameric protein complex formed by the MCM proteins is a key component of the pre-replication complex (pre-RC) and may be involved in the formation of replication forks and recruitment of other DNA replication-related proteins.
The MCM complex consisting of MCM2, MCM4, MCM6, and MCM7 possesses DNA helicase activity and may act as a DNA unwinding enzyme. Cyclin D1-dependent kinase, CDK4, associates with MCM7 and may regulate its binding with the tumor suppressor protein RB1/RB.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
