Target Information
The fundamental transcription factor TFIIB stabilizes the DNA binding of the TATA box-binding protein (TBP) and binds directly to DNA through conformational change.
Its N-terminal region interacts with the RNA channel of RNA polymerase, playing a crucial role in determining transcription initiation and promoter clearance.
Sua7p is the TFIIB of budding yeast and consists of 346 amino acid residues.
