Target Information
Ninein은 모세포 중심체의 subdistal appendages 구성요소로, pericentriolar matrix에 특이적으로 위치합니다.
이 단백질은 미세소관의 음극 말단 캡핑, 중심체 위치 조절, 단백질 앵커링에 관여할 수 있습니다.
연구 결과에 따르면, 미세소관의 핵형성 및 앵커링은 ninein 기능에 의해 연결된 독립적 과정입니다.
인간에서는 C-말단 영역이 다른 최소 다섯 가지 isoform이, 마우스에서는 두 가지 isoform이 보고되었습니다.
C-말단 및 N-말단 도메인의 결합 작용은 coiled coil 영역이 없어도 ninein을 모세포 중심체에 위치시키기에 충분할 수 있습니다.
HeLa 세포에 대한 ninein 항체의 미세주입은 세포 분열 후 중심체 내 단백질의 재형성을 방해하고, 중심체 물질의 세포질 내 확산을 유발할 수 있습니다.
또한, postmitotic 세포에 anti-ninein 항체를 주입하면 MTOC 기능이 손상될 수 있습니다.
Ninein에 대한 항체는 중심체 단백질에 대한 자가항체를 생성하는 자가면역 질환 환자의 혈청에서도 발견됩니다.
