Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882) before use.
Target Information
TNF alpha is a multifunctional proinflammatory cytokine belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily. It is mainly secreted by macrophages and binds to receptors TNFRSF1A/TNFR1 and TNFRSF1B/TNFBR.
Functions include regulation of immune cells, cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, lipid metabolism, and coagulation.
TNF alpha typically exists as multimers but appears as a single 17 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under non-reducing conditions.
It has roles in immune responses to infections and tumor necrosis, and is implicated in autoimmune diseases, insulin resistance, and cancer.
