• Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
• The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Store at -20°C upon arrival.
• Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

Norepinephrine Transporter (NET, or noradrenaline transporter, NAT) is a monoamine transporter responsible for returning the neurotransmitter noradrenaline from the synapse back to storage vesicles. It can also transport dopamine to a lesser extent.
Reduced NET levels have been observed in the locus coeruleus of patients with major depression. Cocaine, amphetamines, and antidepressants such as SNRIs and TCAs act to increase noradrenaline levels.
Mutations or deficits in the NET gene have been associated with ADHD.
