Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is pancreas or Ewing’s sarcoma tissue.
Target Information
CD99 (also known as E2 or MIC2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein involved in regulation of T-cell adhesive properties and programmed cell death distinct from typical apoptosis.
Its roles are specific to certain stages of T-cell differentiation, such as corticothymocytes.
The CD99R isoform is expressed in the hematopoietic system, primarily in T, NK, and myeloid cells.
