Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW) depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
TRPV6 is a calcium-permeable channel involved in neurotransmission, muscle contraction, and exocytosis by providing intracellular calcium as a second messenger.
Transcellular calcium transport may be regulated by vitamin D, parathyroid hormone (PTH), or calcitonin (CALCA).
This calcium-selective cation channel contributes to Ca(2+) uptake in various tissues, including intestinal reabsorption.
Activated by low internal calcium levels and exhibits inward rectification.
Inactivation occurs via both rapid Ca(2+)-dependent and slower Ca(2+)-calmodulin-dependent mechanisms, which may be regulated by phosphorylation.
In vitro, inhibited by Mg(2+) in a voltage-independent manner.
Forms heteromeric assemblies with TRPV5, modifying channel properties and voltage-dependent gating.
Interacts with TRPV5, S100A10, ANAX2-S100A10 heterotetramer, BSPRY, and calmodulin.
Interaction with S100A10 is required for trafficking to the plasma membrane.
