Product Specific Information
- Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
- Ships as lyophilized powder at room temperature; store at -20°C upon arrival.
- Reconstituted solution stable at 4°C for up to 1 week; for long-term storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
- Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
- Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
TRPA1 is a TRP-related ion channel responsive to cold temperatures and pungent compounds, involved in nociceptor and hair cell transduction. It is expressed mainly in sensory neurons and lung epithelia and may serve as a therapeutic target for cold hyperalgesia due to inflammation or nerve injury. TRPA1 expression is also associated with oncogenic transformation and is structurally related to ankyrin and transmembrane proteins. Though its precise function remains unclear, studies suggest roles in signal transduction and growth control.
