• Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW) depending on sample size.
• The antibody is shipped as a lyophilized powder at room temperature.
• Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C (protected from light) for up to 1 week.
• For long-term storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
• Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

VLR-1 (TRPV2) is a calcium-permeable, non-selective cation channel with outward rectification. It is regulated by growth factors such as IGF1, PDGF, and neuropeptides. Unlike TRPV1, VRL-1 does not respond to capsaicin, acid, or moderate heat, but is activated by high temperatures (~52°C). It is prominently expressed in medium- to large-diameter sensory neurons and may mediate high-threshold heat responses. Expression is not limited to sensory neurons, suggesting broader physiological roles. VRL-1 belongs to the TRPV (vanilloid-like TRP) channel family.
