PA1-4201 detects CD100 in human samples.
This antibody has been successfully used in Western blot applications.
By Western blot, it detects a ~158 kDa protein representing CD100 in transfected CHO cells.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues G(147) K N E D G K G R C P F(158) of human CD100.

CD100 (also known as semaphorin 4D), a 150 kDa homodimer, is a novel semaphorin that induces B cells to aggregate and enhances their viability in vitro.
CD100 modifies CD40–CD40L B cell signaling by promoting B cell aggregation and survival while downregulating CD23 expression.
CD72 acts as a lymphocyte receptor for the class IV semaphorin CD100, regulating B cell signaling.
CD100 is expressed on resting and PHA-stimulated T cells, weakly expressed on NK cells, EBV-transformed B cells, monocytes, and tumor/peripheral blood T cell lines, and more strongly on activated T and B cells.
