PA1-4178 detects human p8 (com1).

PA1-4178 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures.

The PA1-4178 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of the human p8 protein.

Maintain at 2-8ºC for 3 months or at -20ºC for longer storage. Acoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Target Information

The human p8 gene encodes a nuclear protein with strong mitogenic activity, which is expressed in the pancreas in response to acute pancreatitis. Response to TNF alpha and staurosporine-induced apoptosis is not modified by p8 expression. However, cells expressing p8 grow significantly and more rapidly.
