Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Enhanced specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to the large rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

The mammalian Phospholipase Cγ (PLCγ) family includes two closely related proteins, PLCγ1 and PLCγ2. These isozymes share core structural domains and contain an additional PH domain, two SH2 domains, and one SH3 domain.
Upon stimulation by extracellular signals such as hormones and growth factors, receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) phosphorylate and activate PLCγ. Activated PLCγ catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2), generating the second messengers inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate (IP3) and diacylglycerol (DAG).
