Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Improved specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

STAT1 (Signal Transducers and Activators of Transcription 1) is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. It is activated by interferon-alpha, interferon-gamma, EGF, PDGF, and IL6, and regulates genes involved in cell growth, apoptosis, immune responses, and lipid metabolism.
STAT1 plays a key role in mediating cell viability under various stimuli and pathogen exposure. The STAT1 gene is located on chromosome 2.
Activation occurs via phosphorylation by JAK tyrosine kinases, enabling STAT1 to enter the nucleus and regulate gene transcription.
Among seven STAT types, STAT1, STAT3, STAT5a, and STAT5b have broad activation profiles. STAT1 is activated by ligands including:

  • IFN family (IFN-Alpha, IFN-Beta, IFN-Gamma, IL-10)
  • gp130 family (IL-6, IL-11, LIF, CNTF, G-CSF)
  • Receptor tyrosine kinases (EGF, PDGF, CSF-1)

Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms of STAT1 have been described.
