Target Information
Bromodeoxyuridine (5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine, BrdU)는 티미딘의 유사체인 합성 뉴클레오사이드입니다.
BrdU는 생체 조직 내 증식 중인 세포를 검출하는 데 사용되며, DNA 복제의 S기 동안 새로 합성된 DNA에 티미딘 대신 삽입될 수 있습니다.
BrdU에 특이적인 항체를 이용하면 삽입된 화합물을 검출할 수 있으며, 이를 통해 DNA를 활발히 복제하는 세포를 식별할 수 있습니다.
항체 결합을 위해서는 일반적으로 세포를 산 또는 열에 노출시켜 DNA 변성 과정을 거쳐야 합니다.
