Target Information
RBBP5 유전자는 광범위하게 발현되는 핵 단백질을 암호화하며, WD-repeat 단백질의 고도로 보존된 하위 패밀리에 속합니다. 이 단백질은 세포 증식을 조절하는 망막모세포종 단백질(retinoblastoma protein, Rb)과 직접 결합하며, E1A-binding pocket B를 통해 저인산화된 Rb와 선호적으로 상호작용합니다. 세 가지의 대체 스플라이싱 전사 변이가 보고되어 있으며, 각각 다른 단백질 아이소폼을 암호화합니다.
