Target Information

MET (c-Met) is a receptor-like tyrosine kinase associated with various human malignancies. Upon ligand activation, MET interacts with PI3K subunit PIK3R1, PLCG1, SRC, GRB2, and STAT3, triggering signaling cascades such as RAS-ERK, PI3K-AKT, and PLCγ-PKC.
MET plays critical roles in embryonic development (gastrulation, muscle and neuron development, angiogenesis, kidney formation) and in adult processes such as wound healing, organ regeneration, and tissue remodeling.
Dysregulation of MET is linked to cancers including gastric, renal, and breast cancers, making it a key target for cancer research and diagnostics.
