Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

This affinity-purified antibody is directed against human Fbp5A protein. A BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with Fbp5A protein from human and chimpanzee based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Partial reactivity is expected with Fbp5A from dog (~92% sequence homology). Reactivity against homologues from other species is not known.

Target Information

F-box proteins are critical components of the conserved ubiquitin-protein ligase complex SCF (Skp1/Cdc53-Cullin1/F-box), which recruits substrates for ubiquitination and degradation through specific protein-protein interaction domains. Novel human F-box proteins such as FBG1, FBG2, FBG3, FBG4, and FBG5 form a subfamily of mammalian F-box proteins. These FBG genes are expressed in limited human tissues, including kidney, liver, brain, and muscle.
