Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is a key cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation.
Ubiquitination involves three classes of enzymes:
- Ubiquitin-activating enzymes (E1)
- Ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2)
- Ubiquitin-protein ligases (E3)
UBE2J1 encodes a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. This enzyme is located in the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum and may contribute to ER-associated degradation via the ubiquitin-proteasome system.
