This MRE11 antibody is useful for:
- Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence (ICC/IF)
- Immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded sections (IHC-P, PMID: 21279473)
- Immunoprecipitation (IP)
- Western Blot (WB)
In WB, a band is observed at approximately 81 kDa.
For ICC/IF, validated with methanol-fixed IMR90 primary human fibroblasts.
For IP, suggested working dilution is 3 µL per 3 × 10⁶ cells.
Co-IP application reported by Ching et al., 2012 (PMID: 22190719).
Suggested positive controls: antigen standard for MRE11A (transient overexpression lysate), HeLa whole cell extract, HeLa whole cell lysate.

- Component of the MRN complex (MRE11–RAD50–NBS1)
- Central role in DNA double-strand break repair, recombination, telomere maintenance, and meiosis
- Exhibits single-stranded endonuclease and double-strand-specific 3′–5′ exonuclease activity
- RAD50 component binds DNA ends and maintains proximity
- Mutations may cause ataxia-telangiectasia-like disorder 1
