Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

STAT1 (Signal Transducers and Activators of Transcription 1) is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors.
It can be activated by interferon-alpha, interferon-gamma, EGF, PDGF, and IL6.
STAT1 regulates genes involved in cell growth, apoptosis, immune responses, and lipid metabolism.
Located on chromosome 2, STAT1 mediates cell viability in response to various stimuli and pathogens.
After phosphorylation by JAK tyrosine kinases, STAT1 translocates to the nucleus to regulate transcription.
Among the seven STAT types, STAT1, STAT3, STAT5a, and STAT5b have broad activation profiles.
STAT1 is activated by ligands including IFN family (IFN-Alpha, IFN-Beta, IFN-Gamma, IL-10), gp130 family (IL-6, IL-11, LIF, CNTF, G-CSF), and receptor tyrosine kinases (EGF, PDGF, CSF-1).
Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described.
