Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10–20 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is tonsil or breast carcinoma tissue.
Target Information
Stathmin 1 belongs to the stathmin family of genes. It encodes a ubiquitous cytosolic phosphoprotein proposed to function as an intracellular relay integrating regulatory signals of the cellular environment.
Stathmin 1 regulates the microtubule filament system by destabilizing microtubules, preventing assembly, and promoting disassembly.
Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
