Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is breast ductal carcinoma.

This gene encodes a cytoplasmic ribosomal protein that is a component of the 40S subunit, belonging to the S6E family.
It is the major substrate of ribosomal protein kinases, with phosphorylation occurring on five C-terminal serine residues in response to stimuli such as growth factors, tumor promoters, and mitogens.
Dephosphorylation occurs during growth arrest.
The protein may regulate cell growth and proliferation through selective translation of specific mRNA classes.
Multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene are dispersed throughout the genome.
