Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- Better specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody has specificity for Mouse Carboxypeptidase B2/CPB2.
Target Information
Carboxypeptidases are enzymes that hydrolyze C-terminal peptide bonds. The carboxypeptidase family includes metallo-, serine-, and cysteine-carboxypeptidases. Based on substrate specificity, these enzymes are classified as:
- Carboxypeptidase A: cleaves aliphatic residues
- Carboxypeptidase B: cleaves basic amino residues
CPB2 is activated by trypsin and acts on carboxypeptidase B substrates. After thrombin activation, the mature protein downregulates fibrinolysis. Polymorphisms have been described for its gene and promoter region.
For Research Use Only.
Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
