This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

This antibody is specific for Mouse Carboxypeptidase B1/CPB1.

Target Information

Three different procarboxypeptidases A and two different procarboxypeptidases B have been identified. The B1 and B2 forms differ mainly in isoelectric point.
Carboxypeptidase B1 is a highly tissue-specific protein and serves as a useful serum marker for acute pancreatitis and pancreatic transplant dysfunction. It is not elevated in pancreatic carcinoma.
