Target Information
RAP80은 처음에 고환에서 고도로 발현되는 아연-핑거 함유 핵 단백질로 확인되었으며, retinoid-related testis-associated receptor (RTR)와 상호작용합니다. 이후 연구에서 RAP80은 Coiled-coil domain 98 (CCDC98) 단백질에 의해 BRCA1 단백질로 모집되어, 이온화 방사선에 의해 유발된 DNA 손상에 대응하는 BRCA1 포커스 형성을 가능하게 함이 밝혀졌습니다. RAP80과 CCDC98 모두 DNA 손상 저항성, G2-M 체크포인트 조절 및 DNA 복구에 필요합니다. RAP80 또는 CCDC98이 결핍된 세포는 BRCA1 결핍 세포보다는 덜하지만 이온화 방사선에 대한 민감성이 증가합니다. 이는 RAP80과 CCDC98이 BRCA1의 DNA 손상 반응 기능 중 일부만 조절함을 시사합니다. RAP80의 최소 네 가지 아이소폼이 존재하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
