Target Information
VAMP7 is a member of the soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor (SNARE) family, localizing to late endosomes and lysosomes. It mediates fusion of endosomes to lysosomes and participates in exocytosis during phagocytosis and neuritogenesis. VAMP7 interacts with VARP, which regulates endosome dynamics, and together with CD82, modulates EGFR signaling by regulating its endocytosis.
