They carry foreign determinants important for immune recognition by cytotoxic T cells, contributing to antiviral and antitumor defense.
Human HLA-class I antigens include HLA-A, HLA-B, and HLA-C molecules.
HLA and MHC antibodies are crucial in Immunopeptidomics, enabling identification and characterization of neoantigens via high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry.
