Target Information

Osgep (O-sialoglycoprotein endopeptidase), also known as GCPL1, is a 335 amino acid protein belonging to the peptidase M22 family. It specifically cleaves the 31-Arg-l-Asp-32 bond in glycophorin A but does not act on desialylated or unglycosylated proteins.
Osgep is expressed ubiquitously at low levels, with highest expression in liver, skeletal muscle, and kidney.
OSGEPL1 (Qri7) is a 414 amino acid protein of the KAE1/YgjD family, existing as three alternatively spliced isoforms, and is required for threonylcarbamoyl group formation on adenosine in tRNAs with codons beginning with adenine.
