Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the adenylate kinase family of enzymes localized to the mitochondrial matrix. Adenylate kinases regulate the adenine and guanine nucleotide compositions within cells by catalyzing the reversible transfer of phosphate groups among these nucleotides.
Five isozymes of adenylate kinase have been identified in vertebrates, showing tissue-specific and developmentally regulated expression. A pseudogene is located on chromosome 17. Three transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified, with the functional gene located on chromosome 1 (NM_013410, NM_203464, NM_001005353).
