Reactivity with other Integrin alpha 7 isoforms was not tested.
In direct ELISAs, no cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Integrin alpha 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, E, X, or recombinant human Integrin alpha L, 11 was observed.
Target Information
Integrin alpha-7 (ITGA7) is encoded by the ITGA7 gene located on 12q13.2.
It belongs to the integrin alpha chain family, forming heterodimeric integral membrane proteins with beta chains.
These proteins mediate cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, contributing to cell migration, differentiation, and morphologic development.
Integrin alpha-7 serves as a receptor for laminin-1 and is mainly expressed in skeletal and cardiac muscle.
Defects in ITGA7 are associated with congenital myopathy.
