Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve an antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step.

Target Information
eIF4E participates in several cellular processes such as enhanced translational efficiency, splicing, mRNA stability, and RNA nuclear export.
All eukaryotic mRNAs possess a 7-methylguanosine cap structure (m7GpppX) at their 5′ ends.
EIF4E functions as a eukaryotic translation initiation factor that directs ribosomes to this cap structure.
It is a 24-kDa polypeptide existing both freely and as part of the EIF4F complex.
EIF4E serves as the rate-limiting component in the eukaryotic translation apparatus and mediates mRNA–ribosome binding.
Other EIF4F subunits include EIF4A (50 kDa, with ATPase and RNA helicase activity) and EIF4G (220 kDa).
