Target Information
LRRK2 is a multidomain protein containing kinase, GTPase, and leucine-rich repeat (LRR) domains. Mutations in LRRK2 are associated with Parkinson’s disease. It belongs to the leucine-rich repeat kinase family and includes ankyrin repeat, LRR, kinase, DFG-like motif, RAS, GTPase, MLK-like, and WD40 domains. The protein is mainly cytoplasmic but also associates with the mitochondrial outer membrane.
