Target Information
Vestigial 단백질은 흉부 상상원반 세포가 날개 및 균형봉(halteres)을 형성하도록 결정하는 과정에 관여합니다. Scalloped (sd) 단백질과 결합하여 전사 활성화 복합체를 형성하고, 날개 발달 관련 유전자의 발현을 조절합니다. Sd와의 결합은 DNA 표적 선택성을 바꾸며, 날개 상상원반의 배측/복측 경계(D/V boundary)에서 세포 증식에 필수적입니다. 또한 Dhfr과 상호작용하여 DNA 복제 관련 유전자 발현을 조절할 수 있습니다.
