Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody 1A8-Ly6g reacts with mouse Ly-6G (Gr-1), a 25-kDa GPI protein expressed exclusively by neutrophils. It plays an important role in neutrophil infiltration, recruitment, and migration, associating with B2 integrins CD11a and CD11b.
Unlike RB6-8C5, this antibody binds specifically to Ly-6G on neutrophils and has been used for neutrophil depletion with reported antagonist activity.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse bone marrow cells, ≤0.5 µg per test (100 µL volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody titration recommended for optimal performance.

eFluor™ 450 is an alternative to Pacific Blue™, excited at 405 nm and emits at 445 nm. Ensure instrument compatibility.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

Ly6G (Lymphocyte antigen 6 complex locus G6D)
Component of the myeloid differentiation antigen Gr-1, together with Ly6C. Expressed by myeloid-derived cells in bone marrow (21–25 kDa). Marker for peripheral neutrophils, monocytes, and granulocytes.
Expression correlates with granulocyte differentiation and maturation. Involved in anti-tumor response; Ly6G ligation may inhibit local immune responses.
