Target Information
MARK2 is a serine/threonine protein kinase involved in regulating cell polarity and microtubule stability. Several cDNA clones have been identified encoding two isoforms of the human ser/thr protein kinase EMK1. These isoforms differ by the presence or absence of a 162-bp alternative exon. Both isoforms are coexpressed in various cell lines and tissues, and the human EMK1 gene is ubiquitously expressed.
