Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Key advantages include:
- Enhanced specificity and sensitivity
- Consistent performance across lots
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broad immunoreactivity due to the large rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
CD5 is a 67 kDa human T-lymphocyte single-chain transmembrane glycoprotein. It is expressed on all mature T-lymphocytes, most thymocytes, and many T-cell leukemias and lymphomas. CD5 also reacts with a subset of activated B-cells and may act as a receptor regulating T-cell proliferation.
CD5 is found on approximately 95% of thymocytes and 72% of peripheral blood lymphocytes. In lymph nodes, reactivity is mainly observed in T-cell areas.
Diseases associated with CD5 dysfunction include thymus cancer and Richter’s Syndrome.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
