Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages include:
- High specificity and sensitivity
- Excellent lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broad immunoreactivity due to the large rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising about 10% of lymphocyte surface proteins. It is absent in non-hematopoietic tissues. CD45 plays a crucial role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling by regulating Src-family kinases.
Multiple isoforms of CD45 exist due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions. CD45RA is one such isoform with restricted expression among lymphoid cell subtypes. CD45 regulates T- and B-cell receptor signaling, modulates JAK kinase activity, and influences integrin-mediated signal transduction, apoptosis, and other immune processes.
