Target Information
ARP2 (actin-related protein 2) is an ATP-binding component of the ARP2/3 complex, a multiprotein complex that mediates actin polymerization upon stimulation by nucleation-promoting factors (NPF).
The ARP2/3 complex facilitates the formation of branched actin networks in the cytoplasm, enabling cell motility. It also promotes actin polymerization in the nucleus, contributing to gene transcription regulation and DNA repair.
