Target Information
NBPF3 유전자는 neuroblastoma breakpoint family (NBPF)에 속하며, 이 계열은 인간 염색체 1의 segmental duplication 영역에 주로 위치한 다수의 유전자 복제체로 구성되어 있습니다.
이 유전자군은 인간 계통에서 가장 크게 확장되었으며, DUF1220 단백질 도메인의 반복 복제 형태로 특징지어집니다.
1q21.1 영역의 DUF1220 copy number 변이는 microcephaly, macrocephaly, autism, schizophrenia, cognitive disability, congenital heart disease, neuroblastoma 등 다양한 발달 및 신경유전 질환과 연관되어 있습니다.
또한 일부 NBPF 유전자의 발현 변화는 여러 암종과 관련이 있습니다.
이 유전자군에는 다수의 pseudogene이 포함되어 있습니다.
