Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
This gene encodes a uridine 5'-monophosphate synthase, a bifunctional enzyme catalyzing the final two steps of de novo pyrimidine biosynthesis.
- The N-terminal domain (orotate phosphoribosyltransferase) converts orotic acid to orotidine-5'-monophosphate.
- The C-terminal domain (OMP decarboxylase) converts orotidine-5'-monophosphate to uridine monophosphate.
Defects in this gene cause hereditary orotic aciduria.
Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
