For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform additional desalting (e.g., using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Ubiquitin is a highly conserved protein involved in targeting cellular proteins for degradation by the 26S proteasome.
The UBA52 gene encodes a fusion protein consisting of ubiquitin at the N-terminus and ribosomal protein S27a at the C-terminus.
When expressed in yeast, the protein is post-translationally processed to generate free ubiquitin monomer and ribosomal protein S27a.
Ribosomal protein S27a is a component of the 40S ribosomal subunit, contains C4-type zinc finger domains, and is localized in the cytoplasm.
Pseudogenes derived from this gene are present in the genome. Similarly, ribosomal proteins L40 and S30 are synthesized as fusion proteins with ubiquitin or ubiquitin-like proteins.
